The objective of the project is improving maternal and child health delivery services through voluntary and informed choice and consent of citizens while availing of reproductive health care services and continuation of the target free approach in administering family planning services.

1) Generalized and Specialized Medical Camps and Health Mela

Comprehensive health care camps and specialized medical camps were organized in urban slums and villages to help the poor access free health services including medical check-up, diagnosis, referral services and preventive health education program. Ajit foundation has organized diabetes detection camps, heart care camps, mental health camps, eye camp, multi-specialty treatment camp and health check-up camps for pregnant and lactating women. Under the preventive health education program workshops, presentations and informal discussions were organized to promote healthy practices among project community.

2) Health Care Training (HCT)

Villages have inadequate health care infrastructure and large unment need for reproductive and child health services. The organization is working to train health care workers, including traditional birth attendants.

3) HIV/ AIDS Awareness Campaign:

Ajit Foundation has organized awareness campaign on HIV/ AIDS for the rural youth & students were given campaign speech on the effect of drugs, HIV/ AIDS and other serious diseases. The campaign was supported by the local village people, youth associations and volunteers to make it a grand success.

4) Pulse Polio Campaign:

Our organization participates in all Pulse Polio Days in coordination with local government Health Departments and other local authority in its working areas. In all polio day’s our organization held various immunization camps. Community workers visited various households on door to door basis to remind mothers to get their babies & kids below 5 years age immunized at the polio immunization booth

5) Mobile health camp:

We organize primary health camps. Mobile medical vans go to poor needy areas of rural part of India and provide primary health check-up and medicines.

6) Increased Participation of Men in planned Parenthood :

The organization under the health program carries out awareness campaigns, information campaign to call for the role of men in planning families, supporting contraceptive use, helping pregnant women stay healthy, arranging skilled cared during delivery, avoiding delays in seeking care, helping after the baby is born and finally in being a responsible father.

7) Survey on HIV/AIDS, TB & Malaria:

The organization also conducted a survey on most dreaded disease like HIV/AIDS, TB, and Malaria etc. Field worker were visited the neighbour villages of Madha Block and enumerated the number of patients suffered from these dreaded diseases. Street plays were also conducted to prevent the disease, victims were counseled secretly. Villagers were trained and to prevent from malaria and to consult doctor for taking medicine on malaria. Medicine kits were also distributed to Malaria affected. The impact of the program was very effective.
